Members of Congress E-mail Addresses

Sample Letter - To Your Congressman

You can send the letter to your congressman expressing your hope that Congress protects the legitimate use of scanners as it considers H.R. 2369.

We have arrange for you to contact your congressman through his e-mail or fax. You can compose your own letter and e-mail it to him or attach the letter we have prepared and just include your name and address. Remember, it is important to include your name and address as this should force the congrssman to respond as well as know that it is coming from someone in his district.

The congress has restricted their e-mail capabilities so they will only hear from people in their district. Where that has been done, you need to fill out a form and in order to get the correct congressman and you need to enter a zip code that is in his district. Where that particular method is being used, we have entered the two letter state code you need to use along with a zipcode that will get you to the correct congressman. Using this method, however, you will not be able to attach the letter, but since it is so short, please just re-type it and send it on. Just use your name and address and be sure to fill in any city name you want in the city line -- it really doesn't matter what you put there, but you must enter some city.

To e-mail your congressman and send your own letter do the following:
1. Simply click on the congressman's e-mail address.
2. Type in the subject: HR 2369
3. Compose and send your letter.

To use the letter that is already composed, do the following:

1> Simply click on the congressman's e-mail address.
2> Type in subject: HR2369
3> Click attachment
4> Click on attach location (URL)
5> Change location to: www.bearcat1.com/aaletter.htm
6> Click ok
7> Click ok (yes, you must do it twice)
8> In body of email, type:
(A) Your Name
(B) Your address
9> Click on SEND
Note:Your name and address is so that they know it is coming from their district.

If your congressman does not have an e-mail address we have included either his fax number or his postal address. In addition to your congressman, you need also to e-mail, fax or write the following people who are directly involved with the bill.
If you have the time you should e-mail as many congressmen and others on this list as possible. Bookmark this page and come back to it again and again and keep the mail to Washington going. Remember, if the legislators do not hear from the people, they will simply assume that no one really cares about the issue and it will be much easier to pass it. This is the issue that effects you and your hobby the most and the time to stop it is now.

Note: Congressional e-mail is changing and some of these addresses will not be active until after the holiday, so if you get an error message, please bookmark this page and try after the holiday. If you encounter other errors or other problems please email us and let us know.
