Many times it is not necessary to drag your radio equipment along with you
on tours you may take of different areas. In Tallinn, Estonia, for instance,
I could have easily taken a scanner with me. There were no customs checks
when leaving the ship. However, I also was carryng camera equipment and the
radios would have simply have gotten in the way. Since the ship was less
than a mile from the center of town, I figured that I could better use my
time on tour enjoying the sites and then scan the area once I returned to
the ship.
