The new Spirit VHF radio lets you communicate at the touch of a button.
There are no phone numbers to dial, no busy signals, and no voicemail.
Contact is instant -- whether you need to communicate with one person or
more than one person. Spirit radios transmit and recieve directly from
radio to radio, so there's no base station required and no service fees.
Built to endure the rough demands of today's jobsites and workplaces,
Spirit radios are weather-resistant and tough enough to withstand a
four-foot drop onto concrete.
Spirit radio coverage is up to 5 miles over flat ground (with no
obstructions), up to 2.5 miles near residential buildings, up to
250,000 square feet in steel and concrete reinforced buildings and up to
10 floors in multi-level buildings.
The Spirit (MV24CVS), which is a 2 watt 4 channel radio can also operate
in a VOX mode and can scan the channels. It also has user programmable CTCSS
tones to insure that you hear only your own units and not other interference
on the channel. Other popular Motorola accessories are also available for
this radio. The radio can scan the 4 frequencies on which it operates.
