The Motorola TalkAbout+ two-way radio operates on the new Family Radio
Service (FRS) frequencies and they do not require a FCC license to operate.
TalkAbouts have a talk range of up to 2 miles (varies by terrain) and
operate static free on UHF-FM.  The radio only weighs 7 oz. including
batteries.
The TalkAbouts are perfect for outdoor and indoor activities, including
Skiing, Camping, Hiking, Boating, Bike Riding, At the Mall and Family
vacations.
There are 14 available channels, 38 iunterference eliminator codes (CTCSS) -
coupled with 14 channels you can have 532 combinations to ensure your radio
user hears only their group.  The radio operates on 3 "AA" batteries (not
included) and provides up to 30 hours of battery life. (5% talktime, 5%
receive and 90% standby).  The radio can also accept accessories such as
a speaker-microphone.
The radio provides an audible low battery alert and comes with a 1 year
limited warranty.
