Kevin Ross"s CB Modification Secrets shows how to expand, enhance
and add to the usefulness of current and recent AM and SSB equipment.
Simple instructions, including large clear pictorials, are geared to the
average hobbyist using readily available tools and equipment. Tech tips
make everything as straightforward as possible. CB'ers don't need to be
engineers for these mods!
Enhancements include things like frequency expansion, SSB clairfier,
and voice lock mods, adding VOX, a VFO, anti-theft transmitter disabler,
I.F. gain control, mic sensitivity control, switch to change Instant
Channel 9 to Instant Channel 19, add Roger beep, a receive preamp and
much more.
Some mods are designated for specific radios. The others are
virtually generic and (to the extent of modifiability of individual
models) are applicable to more than 200 radios from Cobra, Courier,
G. E., Midland, Radio Shack/Realistic, SBE, Uniden/President and
Wards.
