     The straight cigarette ligher plug & cord is designed to work with work with most Bearcat, Realistic and Regency base and mobile scanners.  When used with older hand-held scanners (like the BC100/200XLT) using ni-cad batteries, the power cord will supply the necessary energy to either charge the batteries or power up the unit.
